The Burden of Death: Using both photography and collage, is inspired by death omens.  The Cedar Tree; the death of a Cedar on your property is a sign of impending death, and The Albatross; as described in the poem ‘The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner’, the killing of an albatross is understood to be a curse that results in a burden that must be carried. These Omens combined are representative of Death; the one burden that cannot be avoided.
